On Tuesday March 26, Mori Yoshiko, Chairperson of the Mori Art Museum and a member of the Board of Directors of Mori Building Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo), was awarded the Chevalier de la Legion d'Honneur by the French Republic for her significant contribution to the promotion of Franco-Japanese cultural exchange. Cited were the staging of such exhibitions as "Annette Messager: The Messengers" (2008) and "FrenchWindow: Looking at Contemporary Art through the Marcel Duchamp Prize" (2011) exhibitions, and her work in setting up The Japanese Friends of the Centre Pompidou.

This year, Mori Building is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the opening of Roppongi Hills, a cultural heart of Tokyo, and the iconic Mori Art Museum. We intend to continue promoting the creation of a city that attracts people from all over the world for its culture and its arts and is expansively open to the rest of the world.
