On September 16, 2009, Mori Building Co., Ltd. and Mori Building City Air Services Co., Ltd. (a wholly owned subsidiary by Mori Building Co., Ltd.) started the "Narita Airline Connection Service" to connect central Tokyo (ARK Hills / Akasaka) and Narita International Airport by helicopter and limousine. The one-way trip takes about thirty minutes.

Mr. Kazuhisa Shin, President of Mori Building City Air Services Co., Ltd., and Christophe Lorvo(*), General Manager of the Grand Hyatt Tokyo, held a ceremony to greet the first passenger, Ms. Dora Chong, a General Manager of a foreign cosmetic company, who arrived at ARK Hills from Narita Airport on the first flight.

Dora Chong, who came from Singapore for business in Japan, was the first passenger and commented that the helicopter flight from Narita Airport "was great and comfortable. I enjoyed the view during the flight and time passed quickly." She continued, "When I took a limousine bus before, I was annoyed by the traffic. I don't think the helicopter service cost is high. It's almost the same price as a taxi. I would love to use this service again."

Overview of the Narita Airline Connection Service

It is now possible to travel from central Tokyo to Narita Airport in about 30 minutes. The trip takes 15 minutes by helicopter from ARK Hills Heliport in Akasaka, which is the only heliport opened for private use in central Tokyo, to Narita (Sakura) Heliport, and another 15 minutes by limousine from Narita (Sakura) Heliport to Narita Airport. Limousine service is also provided between ARK Hills Heliport and the customer's home, office, or hotel (* Minato, Chiyoda, Chuo, and Shibuya wards are covered by the standard service fare).
This service provides better access to central Tokyo, brings Tokyo into closer connectivity with the world, and offers a comfortable atmosphere for globe-trotting business executives staying in Tokyo.
