As a part of the community program, the Mori Art Museum started the "Roppongi/Mori Future Map" Project in April, 2007, which is a result of collaboration with artist Konoike Tomoko. In this project, participants joined Konoike in heading out into the fast-changing urban landscape of Roppongi and visualizing their own imaginary forests, or "Rokumori."

The "Roppongi/Mori Future Map" Project has been held three times over the last two years. Participants discovered in the "forests" of the city imaginary mountains, rivers, caves and dark corners, and in the process reawakened their long-forgotten sixth animalistic sense. A total of 60 people took part in the
three workshops, and each created their own original tales about their forest.
This unique project concluded with Konoike creating a drawing of the future of Roppongi, as the "Roppongi/Mori Future Map."

All is revealed in a new book offering complete documentation of this most unique project, which will be on sale from 28, March. The book brings together dozens of stories as imagined by workshop participants. Also, the drawing of "Roppongi/Mori Future Map" by Konoike will be exhibited publicly for the first time on the day.
