Tokyo, May 15, 2026 — Mori Building Co., Ltd. and Sumitomo Realty & Development Co., Ltd. announced today that they have selected Rosewood as the hotel operator for the Roppongi 5-Chome West District Category 1 Urban Redevelopment Project (Roppongi 5-Chome Project), marking Rosewood’s debut in the Tokyo market.

Crowning top floors of 330-meter main tower

Rosewood, the operator of an ever-evolving global collection of hotels, resorts and residences, currently manages 43 properties in 25 countries. As the brand’s first foray into Tokyo, Rosewood Tokyo will occupy the top floors of the 330-meter main tower of the Roppongi 5-Chome Project. In addition to some 200 guest rooms, the development will feature a variety of restaurants, banquet halls and a spa. The Roppongi 5-Chome Project will also introduce event halls and conference facilities that Rosewood Tokyo will seamlessly integrate with for enhanced meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) in the centrally located Roppongi area of Tokyo.

Shingo Tsuji, President and CEO of Mori Building, said: “We are delighted to welcome Rosewood to Tokyo through this partnership, which fulfills Rosewood’s long-held goal of expanding into the city.
