Project to Build a Consortium as a Hub for Media Arts Information: Promoting media arts that are highly regarded even outside Japan

The aim of the Project to Build a Consortium as a Hub for Media Arts Information is to promote and develop Japan's media arts* by building a consortium as an information hub that will collect and disseminate information about media arts and serve as a nerve center for coordination and cooperation among cultural facilities and universities.
* Media arts: Overall arts using reproduction technologies and advanced technologies, including manga, animation, games, and entertainment. Japan's media arts are highly regarded, even outside Japan, and contribute to the contents industry, tourism, and the promotion of cultural exchange. Accordingly, further promotion of the media arts has become an important issue.

● Know-how operating various cultural businesses such as museums, adult education organizations, and libraries
● Network obtained through the development of urban communications tools and their expansion to the field of media arts
