The concept of the Azabudai Hills is a “Modern Urban Village;” it aims to be a huge open space filled with lush greenery that will bring people closer together and build a new community. Created as the “Hills of the future” in the heart of Tokyo, it seamlessly integrates a wide range of urban functions including offices, residences, a hotel, an international school, retail shops, and cultural facilities with a central square at the heart of the city.
This movie is meant to express the concept of the city.
What does it mean to live in a city? What do we need?
To live, begin, discover, interact, love, laugh, play, learn, work, gather, relax, and create.
The video expresses these diverse aspects of human life that manifest at Azabudai Hills through movement and dance, and compares the cities of the future we are still building with data. It is a declaration of the “Future Tokyo Community”—Mori Building’s vision for people and cities going forward.

What makes people move?
Why do people seek to connect with others?
What makes people feel comfortable?
What does a city need to meet these needs?
There is no end to these questions
and there is more than one answer.
But just as every great city began as a small community,
the essence of a city is in the people that gather there, in any age.
If we imagine the future of the city in terms of people, a vision for the ideal city will emerge.

It means to expand human potential by connecting diverse capabilities.
How should cities change to achieve this going forward?
Now is the time to think
about a new way for the community of Tokyo.

new relationships between people in the heart of the city.
An environment that serves as a huge open space where we can enrich our lives by bringing people and nature together.
This is what we need to live going forward.

that redefined the city based on the diverse aspects of human life.
