文化・芸術事業

Mori Building is committed to urban development, positioning culture as one of its most important elements, driven by the strong conviction that cities require not only economic activity but also cultural appeal to realize a rich urban life.
Culture is the driving force that creates new value in society and moves the world.
At ARK Hills, which opened in 1986, we have created a highly concentrated compact city that features offices, residences, and commercial stores along with a concert hall (Suntory Hall), a continuing education institution (Ark Urban Academy), a members-only club (Ark Hills Club), a hotel, and a rooftop garden. At Roppongi Hills, which opened in 2003, we created the Mori Art Museum on the top floor of Mori Tower, a continuing education institution and a members-only library (Academy Hills, currently closed), and a members-only club (Roppongi Hills Club) based on the concept of the “cultural heart of Tokyo.” In addition, using town management techniques, we organized various cultural and exchange events to convey the concept. In 2023, we opened TOKYO NODE as an information hub that symbolizes the new Tokyo in Toranomon Hills Station Tower. We promote diverse collaborations that cut across fields and genres, including business, art, entertainment, technology, and fashion, creating new experiences, values, content, and information while transmitting it from Tokyo to the world. In addition, Mori Building Digital Art Museum: Epson teamLab Borderless, which opened in Odaiba in 2018, continues to receive high acclaim from people around the world as a truly unique cultural facility without parallel anywhere else, even after relocating to Azabudai Hills in 2023.
Along with planning and operating these cultural facilities, Mori Building actively incorporates public art into its complexes. Works curated by the Mori Art Museum are scattered throughout various locations in the Hills, providing visitors with opportunities to experience art in their daily lives.
Additionally, we operate our own museum shops with the cultural facilities, handling the planning and development of merchandise such as original goods and related items for current exhibitions. Furthermore, as a conference facility, Toranomon Hills features a forum space designed to create an ideal venue for diverse needs such as international conferences and symposiums. As a hub connecting Tokyo and the world, the space serves as a base for international exchange and information dissemination.
